A native of Columbia, South Carolina, David Glymph is one of the premier saxophonist in the contemporary jazz scene today, blending elements from artists such as Boney James and Maceo Parker into his style. His love for jazz was heavily influenced by his father's extensive collection of tapes, CDs, and records. While various genres of music filled their home, it was jazz that captured David's attention from a young age. He would study the techniques of iconic musicians like Grover Washington Jr., Charlie Parker, and Dave Koz to enhance his own skills.
